Politics is money and marketing says the Republican National Committee!

Before you think that I am bashing the Republicans let me give a disclaimer! I did vote Republican for most of the offices in the last election and I will probably vote Republican in the next elections. This article is only an example of what is wrong with the entire political system in this United States of America. Our political system has been hijacked by people that are in the business of fund raising and marketing. These guys are making big money by taking their fees from fund raising and marketing politicians and political ideas much the same as they would a hamburger!

I received an e-mail from the GOP telling me that the Republican National Committee needs my money! I signed up to be on their mailing list before the last national elections and did appreciate the information supplied through the e-mails. Since the email asked me to send it to all my friends there should not be any problem with including the text at the bottom of this article. Ken Mehlman RNC Chairman asked me to support President Bush by making a donation. Well I voted for him! Come on now, didn't I already do my part? I will not say that George Bush is a great president of even a great person, only that I was voting for the lessor of two evils.
The email also said the money would be used to promote the Republican agenda. How will this promotion be accomplished and who will be making the money? Both parties have so little respect for the common man that marketers will get rich selling jingoistic sound bites to us. There will also be some political power brokering efforts that will pass a lot of money to favorite caterering companys and lobbyist. I will support any agenda that I believe in here at ABubbaNation or by talking to my friends!

My cynical opinion is that any honest politician or honest lawman will be corrupted by the system in a few years time! The public is lazy and unwilling to think and probably is getting what it deserves! And truly this is a sad situation.

Dear Douglas,

As the Campaign Manager for Bush-Cheney '04, I know President Bush's second Inauguration would not have been possible without your generous support.
In my capacity now as Chairman of the Republican National Committee (RNC), I am asking for your continued support for our President and Party.
Please join the RNC today as a Sustaining Member by making a secure online contribution of $25, $50 or $75 to help make President Bush's second term in office a success.
Douglas, the RNC is our Party's official national campaign organization. It does more to support President Bush and promote our compassionate conservative agenda than any other GOP committee.
The RNC is going to be critically important to the success of President Bush's second term. The President has great goals for our country: a growing economy, strong homeland and national defense, tort and Social Security reform and affordable healthcare. But we need your help to get the President's message past the liberal media filter and directly to the American people.
Democrats and their liberal special interest allies -- who will try to stonewall President Bush's agenda -- are hoping you will ignore my request and remain on the sidelines until the next election. President Bush, Republican Congressional Leaders and our candidates are counting on you to step forward and answer my call today.
Your contribution of $25, $50 or even $100 to join the RNC is crucial to providing President Bush with the resources he needs to keep our agenda moving forward.
We need you on the Republican team -- your continued support of our President during his second term is extremely important. Please become an RNC Sustaining Member today. Thank you.

Best Wishes,
Ken Mehlman
RNC Chairman

P.S. Supporters like you were the backbone of President Bush's historic victory in 2004. Please remain active in our cause by joining the RNC today. Click here to make a secure online contribution of $25 or more. Thank you.
